Ciel Image Song

  • Jan. 6th, 2010 at 9:31 AM
A couple of entries ago, while discussing possible Sebastian theme songs, people mentioned not having many songs on their playlists for Ciel. I found a great one last night, and thought I would share it. <3

It's called "Aizome," and it was used as the ending theme during the second season of "Jigoku Shoujo."

Your result for The Golden Compass Daemon Test...

Open Solitary Soul

You are a caring and introverted personality. You need a lot of personal space, and you find dealing with strange people and new situations to be stressful and tiring. You need to relax with time to yourself in order to recharge after a highly social day. Despite your dislike of loud noises and big crowds, however, you are not shy. You have a good sense of your own self worth, and you are not afraid to be yourself.

You tend to wear your heart on your sleeve, and you are open and honest. Deception does not come easily to you. You have nothing to hide, and you are not afraid to tell people your opinions or express your feelings. This does not mean, however, that you tend to fly off the handle. Your own belief in yourself helps numb some of the wounds that are inflicted by cruel or thoughtless people. When they do hurt you, though, you can't help but show it.

Your daemon's form would represent your introverted nature, your expressiveness, and your strong sense of self. He or she would probably take an active interest in the world around you, and would have a lot to say.

Suggested forms: Panda, Arctic Fox, Domestic Cat, Wood Thrush, Spitz dog.

Take The Golden Compass Daemon Test at HelloQuizzy

Wow. That describes me perfectly pretty well. XD; Though I'd still make my daemon take on the form of a snow leopard... 'cause seriously, who DOESN'T want a snow leopard? XD

L: Change the PLot

Fandom, cure me of my wretched headache! *writhes*

Anyway, I'm not sure how many of you are aware of this, but the Death Note franchises' "L: Change the WorLd" movie recently got released in novel form...

...and now, I'm about to spoil the crap out of it. )

In other news, I believe I mentioned how I took lots of pictures with my camera phone during my trip to Borders. I'd tried emailing them to myself via my phone, but nothing showed up in my inbox that day, so I figured it just hadn't worked. But guess what appeared today?

SEBASTIAN! )

Do you wish to form a contract with me?

  • Jan. 4th, 2010 at 10:17 PM
YES. DUH.

Thank you SO MUCH [info]goodbyemyheart for the new "Kagome, Kagome" fanart! Your interpretation of demon!Ciel is creepy love. XD

GAH~ <3

*continues fangirling in a random corner*

PS. [info]wannaseemymask linked me to this CREEPY Vocaloid take on the song/game "Kagome, Kagome." AND HOLY CRAP IS THAT CIEL I SEE IN THERE? XD

PSS. Here's the actual song, as done in "Tactics." (I wish I could find the English version for y'all, but it's not on Youtube... Sad. i^i)

*bashes head against wall*

Hannah, don't click the link. You won't be happy.

WHAT?!

HAVE YOU EVER @#$%ING SEEN THE SERIES?! HAVE YOU EVER @#$%ING READ THE BOOKS?! OF COURSE THERE ARE HOMOSEXUAL UNDERTONES. DEAR GOD, WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?!

And no, I'm not suggesting that HolmesxWatson is ACTUALLY an OTP. Lyke-canon wise. But you can't deny that even the canon doesn't contain hints that could be construed that way. That's all I'm saying. And for people to just outright say "NO" in order to "stay true" to the canon?! That's not "staying true" at all!

I hate the USA, sometimes. I really do. I hate it. Fucking hypocrites...

Podfics: "Snowfall" and "Like Rain"

  • Jan. 4th, 2010 at 9:39 AM
The fantastical [info]general_jinjur is hosting a bunch of my podfics on their podfic website, now! :D (You can find said website here.)

Anyway, I was so excited by this, that I went digging through my hard drive to find other acceptable podfic readings that I hadn't previously posted. :3 And since I'm uploading them for the site anyway, I figured I'd share them here, as well. <3

Just got back from my day at the bookstore. In addition to some new books (*squee!*), I've returned to my lair with a ton of pictures of Sebastian on my phone. Good God, he is EVERYWHERE at Borers! I saw a couple of the little out-of-the-shelves flaps that [info]neocloud9 discovered a few weeks ago, but more than that-- you know these rectangular pieces of cardboard that they put over the section (IE: "history," "literature," etc.) signs? EVERY SINGLE ONE of them in the "young adult" and "manga" sections featured Sebastian. Double sided. (So 22, in total. I counted. >X3) SEBASTIAN WAS WATCHING THE ENTIRE SECOND FLOOR OF THE STORE. XD

Plus, adverts for "Black Butler" were in a bunch of the new Yen Press manga releases, and our favorite demon butler was on the back of the Yen monthly manga magazine.

I was literally dancing up and down the aisles. Borders, you made this fangirl very, very happy. <3

"Obvious"

Title: "Obvious"
Series: Sherlock Holmes
Genre: General/Humor/Romance
Pairing: Implied HolmesxWatson
Rating: PG
Word Count: ~1,200
Summary: There's nothing quite so obvious as love.
To Read: Particularly if you're as observant as Mycroft... )

No, the thought is NOT what counts.

Went and had Christmas/New Years with my dad's family last night. And-- just like every Christmas for the past SIXTEEN YEARS yes, I've counted-- I've gotten a pair of clothes and a bath kit. (And not even a good bath kit. One of those $15 bags full of reject-lotions and felt slippers that people immediately White Elephant, if they can. And it drives me crazy, because these relatives all know my interests-- they could get me a dictionary, and I'd be thrilled. SO WHY DO THEY PERSIST IN BUYING ME BATH SHIT?!) I mean, I consider myself a decent actress, but it's getting harder and harder to fake excitement for the damn bag of bath crap each year. For God's sake, WE DON'T EVEN HAVE A BATH TUB ANYMORE.

What made this even more annoying than usual is that my brothers got badass computer games from the same relatives; one of them even got a Sherlock Holmes themed game! CURSE YOU, VAGINA, KEEPING ME FROM GETTING COOL SHERLOCK HOLMES GAMES!

But in all seriousness, it's no big deal. XD; Mainly, I just find the black humor in it. And on the bright side, when my brothers and I played Dad and Judy in Trivial Pursuit (the OLD version of it), we almost won! And I totally nailed the wedge-earning question, "What substance do you first learn that Sherlock Holmes is addicted to?" Mwahahaha~ thank you, Jeremy Brett. <3

PS. Oh yeah... Happy New Year, my dears! :D
Went to the DMV this morning. Like any DMV visit, it was a rather painful experience... but when my mom started making fun of the passport photo I'd brought with me (like in most of my pictures, I looked kinda evil in it), the DMV lady countered the insults by saying that she thought I looked like Margot Hemingway. To which my mom replied, "Oh, yeah, I can see that!" (She then told me that this declaration was a compliment, because I was standing there with big question marks floating over my head. ^_^;)

Anyway, once I got home, I looked up this Margot Hemingway, and yeah-- being told that I look like her is a nice compliment. She was very pretty. But, like her grandfather, she was also a little insane mentally unstable. So I can only hope that looks are where our similarities end. Of course, taking some of my fanfiction into account, that might not be the case. XD;

So yeah. That's my amusing story of the day. (So far, anyway.) Any reciprocating stories you'd like to share with me? :3

Moooooo~

Toboso-sensei recently posted a picture of "Sebastian with horns," while simultaneously commenting that she didn't think horns were Sebastian's style.

Gonna have to agree with her on that one.

...is that a cowbell? XD;

Reflecting on 2009

  • Dec. 31st, 2009 at 10:30 AM
As the year comes to an end, I’ve noticed a lot of “reflection” posts. Which, you know, seems appropriate. But more than that, these posts have gotten me thinking about my 2009 experiences, and where I’d like to go from here. So here we go—for those of you who care—my reflections on this past year.

INSERT RAMBLING HERE. :D )

The Hungry Ravens
by ~Maiden-of-the-Moon on deviantART

A Bitchy PS: Was "Kagome, Kagome" THAT hard to follow? That's not rhetorical-- really, was it? Because while I admit that some of my fics can be confusing, I didn't think this was one of them. How much clearer can I be when in the prequel Ciel BECAME A DEMON, and in this fic I specifically mention his NAME AND EYECOLOR? I just don't get it.

...okay, sorry. Just had to get that off my chest. The readers on ff.net sometimes wear my patience a bit thin...

Popularity, my dear Watson!

  • Dec. 29th, 2009 at 9:47 PM
Lately, Sherlock Holmes is everywhere, it seems! Not that I mind. <3 In fact, my family and I have been celebrating this fact by watching more of the wonderful television series, “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.” I love it more with each installment. And I think my mom said it best when she commented: “…is it just me, or do they get gayer with each episode?”

No, mum. It’s not just you. X3

But further examples are necessary! (As Holmes would say, “I need data!” And as “Star Trek” had yet to be conceived…)

Episode 12: The Red-Headed League

Photobucket

Holmes: …but suffice it to say that I know as little about Mr. Jay Beards Wilson as you do yourself, beyond the obvious facts that he has done manual labor at sometime. But it takes staff that he has been to China, and that he has done a considerable about of writing, lately.
Wilson: How in the name of good fortune did you know all that, Mr. Holmes? As true as gospel I once did manual labor. I started off as a ship’s carpenter.
Holmes: Your hands, my good servant. The muscles of your right hand are more developed than your left.
Mom: *collapses in a fit of snickers and laughter*
Brother D: …*snorts*
Brother J: *begins grinning wickedly*
Me: …? What is…? I don’t get what’s so… Oooooooooh~ XD Oh dear.

Photobucket

The premise, at this point: Holmes and Watson have invited Mr. Jones, a police man, and the head of a bank, Mr. Merryweather, over to discuss stopping a robbery. Holmes mentions that the bank head’s reward for cooperating will be NOT loosing thousands upon thousands of pounds.
Mr. Jones: And what will my reward be, Mr. Holmes?
Holmes: A young man, called Clay. He’ll pop out of a cake and everything.
Mr. Jones: John Clay?
Holmes: *nods*
Mr. Jones: Oh, how I’d like to get my hands on that devil!
Holmes: You shall. But Watson is mine, so hands off. I SEE THE WAY YOU’RE LOOKING AT HIM.
But REALLY… I hardly even have to try. XD

In other news, they’ve been in the press, as well! (Warning: the movie is briefly mentioned.) )

Podfic: "Beauty"

A POX UPON YOU, CRAP MICROPHONE. Honestly~!

*sigh*

Oh well. Had fun, anyway. :3 But I'm more terrified than usual as I post this-- and yes, that's saying something. Hannah has been such an outspoken fan of my Ciel voice, and I used it in this piece. I hope I continue to live up to her (and everyone elses) expectations! orz

We'll see, I suppose... And if nothing else, this one should be easier to understand, audio-wise. ^_~

Enjoy! \o/

MIA, V. 2.0

  • Dec. 29th, 2009 at 12:17 AM
Still MIA...obviously.

Just some copypasta here:

I feel horrible and physically hurt. I’ve lost my inspiration and desire for most things…one of those is even going on online. I really apologize to my friends who I would talk to everyday...Eilith, Shan, Midori, Seigakussiren, Scrunchy, Milk, Toki Scoot, Nawty...and everyone else such as Denny, and Marc...you know who you are. I'm sorry I haven't been animated as normal.

I've just been playing video games and with my animals...hell, you can see how many hours I have on my games in my steam profile now -_-...

But yeah, basically the point of this is to stay I'm still MIA, and you can all still text if you need to talk or something, or if you want me to call you.

I'm going over my boyfriend's tomorrow...and there isn't any net there...I also don't know how long I'll be there...could be one day, could be several.

Take care everyone.

In the meantime, have a painting I made....bleh, didn't feel much like doing it, but had a deadline to get it done by...so yeah <3;
